Zerodha is the number one discount broker in India as per the number of customer acquisition, the volume of trading and growth, It was incorporated in 2010 and since then its growing very fast.

As of Feb 2018 7 Lac + Clients. Zerodha contributes over 8% of daily trading volumes across NSE, BSE, and MCX.

Brokerage: Zerodha has a very simple pricing structure. Zerodha Provides all equity delivery investments at no cost. And Charges a flat fee of Rs 20 or 0.01% (whichever is lower) for intraday trades across equity, currency, and commodity trades across NSE, BSE, and MCX.

Zerodha's Trading Platform

Zerodha provides six different ways to its client to trade in the stock market.

1. Kite web: Zerodha kite is a web-based HTML5 trading platform with streaming market data(easy market watches), advanced charts, an elegant UI, can place the order very fast and it can be used for trading on mobiles, tablets as well as the browser. It was launched in November 2015. Kite web is available for free to use for its client. You can place your all types of order like Cover order, Bracket order Stop loss order very quickly(fraction of millisecond).

2. Kite mobile: A very smart application for every smartphone, works seamlessly on your Android and iOS devices.  Easy market watches (NSE,BSE,MCX), advanced and user friendly charting.

3.Pi: Pi is zerodha’s desktop trading application built by Tradelab. Trading, charting, scripting, and analysis, all rolled into a Windows desktop trading platform.

4.Zerodha Trader: Zerodha trader is an application which can be downloaded and installable  on to your computer, built by ‘Omnesys Nest Trader’ .It is easy to use trading terminal, empowered with fast execution and best charting system. This is available for free for tits clients.

5.Call n Trade : Call and trade is very popular among traders, this very use full for those who can be online and wants to trade can use call and trade service . Call & Trade is chargeable service by zerodha, it charges Rs. 20 per trade.

6. 6. Coin (Mutual Fund Investment: Coin is a platform for mutual fund investor by Zerodha. This is direct mutual fund investment tool which is used to buy mutual funds at no cost. Zerodha do not charge any fee from its client to use this application. You can buy from more than 2000 mutual funds in India for free.

 

Zerodha Account Opening and Maintenance charges

  • Trading Account Opening Charges: Rs 300 (One Time)

  • Demat Account Opening Charges: Rs 100  (One Time)

  • Trading Annual Maintenance charges(AMC): 0

  • Demat Maintenance charges(AMC): Rs. 300 Per year

Zerodha Exposures:

 

Exposures for Intra day: Zerodha provides 5-20 times margin or leverage. Levrage table updates frequently, User can visit their margin or exposures section to see for each stocks.

 

 Exposures for trading in futures:

  • For Futures Zerodha provides  40% of Normal Margin

  • Commodites Futures – 50% of Normal Margin

  • Currency Futures-  50% of Normal Margin(order squire off at 04:30 pm)

 

 

Exposures for Options: No Margins

 

Exposures for Delivery: No Margins for equity delivery.
